Google's argument about Vista 'desktop search'

Google recently filed a complaint against the new Microsoft Vista operating system; unconvinced they are living up to their 'anti-trust agreement' in 2002 Google complained that the ability to set a desktop Search Engine was biased as MSN search is provided as complete default. This, Google complained, was in violation of their anti-trust agreement.

As a collaborative measure for the next Vista service pack beta, Microsoft has said it will allow an ability to set a 'rival' search engine as the default but only after MSN has been presented first i.e. primary would offer MSN, secondary would present the rest of the opposing search engines (Google). This did not go down well with Google but the court refused to go further on it and judged that the measures Microsoft would enforce would be sufficient and claimed maybe that Google had not been fully informed of the full vista changes. Microsoft claimed that Google was “procedurally out-of-bounds” and that the proposed changes where definitely enough.
