Untitled Document

As far as this page is concerned the title 'Untitled Document' is deliberate. I thought it must be an important term to rank for, many well respected organisations and household brands are targeting 'Untitled Document' in their title, so hell I want a bit of the action too.

I am not 100% sure why anyone would want to rank for 'Untitled Document' but if I do an intitle:Untitled Document search i.e. find pages that contain the term 'Untitled Document' in their title Google returns 5,120,000 pages.

To put this into perspective that's more pages competing for 'Untitled Document' than Search Engine Optimization (3,500,000), Nokia Ringtone (2,210,000) and Domino Pizza (259,000).

Also the reputation of some of the sites that contain pages targeting 'Untitled Document' is beyond reproach, here is a short list;

There are literally millions of pages that could be listed, however the reason I chose to highlight the pages above is that not only do they contain the term 'Untitled Document' in the title they are also the default pages for their respective sites. Also the pages have been around for a while and have acquired a decent PR.

All of this reinforces my belief that 'Untitled Document' must be an important term to rank for hence this page. Anyway the page has been uploaded, it ranks well for the term 'Untitled Document' but it brings me absolutely no new business whatsoever.

Perhaps my initial thoughts about 'Untitled Document' were flawed! Perhaps I should target 'Home Page' or 'Welcome' in preference to 'Untitled Document'.
