Cache

A cache is a store of something in order to save it from being generated again unecessarily

For example, browsers have a cache to ensure that web pages do not have to be regenerated when a user hits their back button.

Some servers use a cache so that processor-heavy scripts only need to run when necessary, and not jsut whenever the results of the script are asked for.

Google allows users to see it's cached version of web pages.
