Dynamic Pages
Dynamic (Processed) Pages
Dynamic pages are processed by the server before being sent to your browser or a search engine.
This means that the pages can potentially be updated slightly each time a user looks at them, and the pages are oftern updated automatically.
There are many 'languages' used to create dynamic pages, the most common are PHP (Pre-Hypertext Processing), ASP (Active Server Pages), JSP (Java Server Pages) and dotNet, although there are other less common types, such as CGI, Perl and ColdFusion.
Many people believe that dynamic pages are penalised or ignored by search engines. This is not true, although their complex nature can provide many barriers to good search ranking if not managed correctly.
