Google Optimisation

The process of optimising a site purely for Google results while ignoring the other search engines such as Yahoo and MSN/Live Search.

This is usually ill-advised and suggests that you are concentrating too much on specific "tricks" rather than trying to improve the overall quality of your site.

It can also have disastrous effects if a change of algorithm means your site drops out of the Google results, since you then have no fall-back position due to lack of exposure on the other search engines.
