Database-Driven

A database-driven website is constructed, at least in part, be information stored in a database.

Database-Generated

A misnomer - databases do not generate pages, they only provide information that can be used in them.

Deep Submission

The submission of many pages deep in a website to search engine add-url services.

Destination URL

The URL associated with a keyword that identifies a specific page on your website where traffic is directed.

Directory

A directory is (usually) a human edited resource the categorises websites, and provides a link to their homepage only

Display Keyword

The Display Keyword is the form that is presented in the DirecTraffic Center of the Overture Match Driver program.

Display URL

The URL that usually is the top-level domain name of your website that is displayed in the search results in a PPCSE.

DNS

DNS is a system of 'address-books' of webservers, allowing quick access to billions of web documents globally.

Doctype

The doctype of a webpage indicates what version of HTML (or equivalent) the browser should use to interpret the document.

Document Body

The document body is the section of an HTML document that is displayed in a browser.

Document Head

The HEAD of a document is the section describing information about the document, such as Meta tags, CSS information and other client-side scripting.

Doorway Page

A doorway page is a page created only to appear in search engine or PPC search engines

Download Speed

This is a measure of how quickly a webpage loads from request to rendering.

Dynamic Pages

Dynamic pages are processed by the server before being sent to your browser.
