Splogging - Spam in Blogs

Splog is the process of posting commercial services to blogs, wikis and forums. The purpose of splog is to gain inbound links to the commercial website, and thereby (theoretically) influencing PageRank.

One of our competitors recently had several articles removed from WikiPedia due to their blatant splog content. Interestingly, WikiPedia has an excellent article about splog here.
