There has been a bit of talk about 'What if Google SEOed their site' i.e. if they obeyed their own rules, well the answer is they would be higher up in the rankings. Currently a search in Google for 'Search Engine' ranks Google.co.uk (not .com) 20th in the listings and .com 37th but that's not even the homepage that comes under it at 38th, in MSN and Yahoo Google.com rank 2nd. What does this mean? Google has designed an engine that doesn't like its own website, madness. If you think about it the Google.com homepage doesn't really have much on it, its pretty faceless, meangene.com created a page that showed you what Google would look like if it was SEOed. Odd that isn't it?
