Google has expressed an interest in Chinese social media site Tianya.cn, the rumoured amount of the company Google has purchased is most likely 10% to 60% trying to get its 'foot in the door' with the now booming Chinese social media market. By the look of it Google will be expanding further into the Chinese market obviously being because China is the second largest internet market after the United States and seems to be prospering gracefully.

Currently Baidu.com Inc has been dominating the search market in China with just under 60% of the market and Google with only around 23% of the market. Google has also recently received general approval for a license to release internet Content into China which Google intends to use to start creating library resources in the country.
