Jellyfish.com has recently been purchased by Microsoft to augment their Live service. The site is apparently a lot more informative and unique than most sites. For one thing you can create your own profile which works pretty much like every modern social networking site; you can write your interests, add friends, create a wish-list, and upload photos amongst other things. You can search for stores by category or just type in a name and Jellyfish will also give a description of the company and how long they've been with Jellyfish. Another useful thing to do with the seller is that once a product has been selected it will give you a list of stores that sell the item, the full price of the item including shipping, the discount you get from using Jellyfish, what type(s) of store the company have (online, physical or both) and whether or not they have any 'unresolved merchant complaints' so you can make an informed decision on whether the company is trustworthy or not.
Microsoft expresses that it wants to add this new service to the Live search function and also its messenger and other programs so the user can spot something they like either through search or an advertisement and nab it using Jellyfish, sounds a good idea to me. So to sum up; Jellyfish doesn't smell too fishy.
