I'm sure you lot are getting sick of hearing about Google's latest purchases but oh yes, they've done it again and bought a mobile network which uses text to connect with other people much like Google's previously acquired Dodgeball. Signs of the mythical but eagerly awaited GMob? Or just another blasted company to add to Google's 'Mine!' list? You see a mobile pattern connecting up now, wires across the Pacific, mobile phone social network sites, purchasing bits and pieces of technology from different companies, the time for the GMobile is nigh.
The site itself allows users to interact with one another, upload/download files such as pictures and video's easily from mobile to Internet, allows instant-messaging, text messaging and email to be combined into one platform and gives each user a mobile 'card' that others can fetch by texting a special number. Another interesting feature is the ability to view RSS feeds, users can get the latest by text. All in all it sounds like it’s going to be another good one to integrate into the Google collective, whatever they're planning.
