Who is Matt Cutts?

Matt Cutts is an emgineer at Google, and specifically works in quality control. His speciality is Search Engine Optimisation issues, and he takes a proactive role in educating webmasters to ensure compliance with Google’s webmaster guidelines.

He joined Google while studying for a PhD at Univ North Carolina, having taken classes in information retrieval from the University’s Information and Library Science department. He did not complete the PhD before moving to Google full time, but was awarded an MS degree.
